We take privacy seriously here at Cromulent Labs. And we know that you don't want to wade through a bunch of legalese, so here is our privacy policy in plain English.
We are not spammers and we will not send you any unsolicited email. We make our money through in-app purchases.
We don't collect or store any personally identifiable information or device information about you in our app.
An account id is generated in the app to distinguish between different users and it is an opaque token that doesn't identify the user in any way. We use this account id to store the user's token balance, including purchases and the amount of tokens consumed when conversing with ChatGPT. Conversations or anything else said by the user is not stored alongside this data.
Conversations are synced between devices using iCloud and cannot be seen by us.
We use access to the photo library only to store generated images. We don't ask for or have access to read any photos in your library.
If you provide access to your Apple Music library, it is only used to store generated playlists. We don't store generated playlists on our end.
If you provide your own OpenAI API key, it is sent to our servers to make requests to OpenAI on your behalf, but it is not stored there in any way. It is only stored on your devices and privately synced via iCloud.
It is possible that parts of conversations may end up in logs for debugging purposes, but there isn't a way to identify the source of the conversations. These logs are only viewed and used for debugging issues and they are deleted after 60 days.
All RoboGuru interactions are processed through OpenAI's ChatGPT API which may collect or store your conversations with RoboGuru. As of March 1, 2023, OpenAI's Data Usage Policy states that OpenAI will not use data submitted by customers via their API to train OpenAI models or improve OpenAI's service offering. However, OpenAI retains API data for 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring purposes.

We use Google's Firebase and Crashlytics SDKs to report to us important events and when the app crashes so that we can fix these crashes as soon as possible. We don't send any information or identifiers to Firebase/Crashlytics, but they may collect information via their SDKs.
You can view Firebase's privacy policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Cromulent Labs uses reasonable efforts to help protect your personal information against unauthorized access and unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction. However, we cannot guarantee that your personal information will be absolutely protected. For example, your personal information may be affected by actions outside of our control, such as computer "hacking" and physical theft. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.
We may change this Privacy Policy at any time. We will post all changes to this Privacy Policy on this page and will indicate at the top of the page the modified policy's effective date.
